Programme summary
The MSc in Speech and Language Therapy is a route to qualification for professional practice for applicants who have already attained an honours degree. The type of previous undergraduate degree is not a limiting factor in terms of eligibility.
Entry requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline. Students in their final undergraduate year can apply, but must show they meet all entry requirements by the end of June in the year the programme starts. For candidates who meet this requirement, the HPAT (Health Professions Admission Test-Ireland) will be used as the only instrument to select students for this programme. Visit HPAT Ireland website for information on registration fees, registration deadlines and exam dates. Successful applicants must have Garda clearance, health screening, CPR certification and vaccinations before placement (any costs will be covered by the student). More information on Student Vetting.
