Screenwriting Intensive

This course offers a deep dive into the craft of visual storytelling, teaching students how to think critically about creating cinematic scripts. By analyzing global film classics, participants will master the "show, don't tell" philosophy and explore diverse narrative frameworks, including three-act, episodic, and alternative structures. The curriculum covers essential pillars such as character motivation (want vs. need), thematic development, and the art of building suspense through dramatic irony. Students will also learn "tricks of the trade" to manage pacing, balance dialogue with exposition, and create an engaging "hook" that ensures their work resonates with readers and audiences alike.
