Programme summary
The module aims to equip the learner with the skills, knowledge and competence to understand the concepts, principles and values of recovery in mental health and to enable the learner to develop key skills necessary to work more effectively with mental health service users.
Entry requirements
To access programmes leading to this award the learner should have reached the standards of knowledge, skill and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. This may have been achieved through a formal qualification or through relevant life and work experience. Ideally a minimum of Level 4 certificate standard of education and a strong interest in the provision of quality care in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as computer literacy skills, are essential. Students undertaking Level 6 module s are expected to demonstrate proficiency in reading, drafting, preparing, and comprehending information across various topics. Basic IT skills and access to necessary equipment such as a computer, broadband, email, Microsoft Office, and recording equipment are required for skills demonstration tasks. Additionally, learners must be capable of self-directed study as this module is delivered through blended learning.
