Pre - Speech and Language Therapy Studies - SLT Assistant

This one-year Pre-Speech and Language Therapy course is for students interested in a career in speech and language therapy. It provides an understanding of communication styles and the role of therapists in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication difficulties. Students will explore therapy in settings such as health centres, hospitals, and schools, and learn how therapists support those with speech, communication, eating, or swallowing challenges. The course also includes insight into clinical practice, patient care, and HSE-relevant skills for supporting therapy programmes.
