Photography

Photography students at CDCFE will build on previous experience to apply their skills in the areas of technique and vision to an advanced level suitable for employment or starting a business or further study. Students are encouraged to blend artistic, documentary or journalistic work into a portfolio reflecting their own personal style.

Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, QQI level 4 full award. Mature students are welcome. Students who may not have formal academic requirements but who have the ability to successfully participate on the course will be considered. If English is not your first language you may be asked to complete an English assessment. Applicants will automatically obtain a provisional offer on application, but all-level 6 applicants must meet with the course team to present a sample of creative work completed at level 5 or other. CPD or work practice in art, design or other related disciplines will also be considered where a level 5 has not been obtained. You will be notified in advance with a date and time to meet with the course team. This meeting will be held on our Raheny Campus.
