Programme summary

Who is this course for? The Professional Diploma in Participatory Health Research is intended for existing research or clinical participatory health professionals who are seeking the additional qualification (knowledge, competencies and skills) to employ meaningful public and patient involvement in their research. It is also relevant for professionals working in NGOs, as well as health service planners.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant or appropriate subject. Garda Vetting may be required in cases where individual proposed practicum involves children or vulnerable communities. The university may shortlist and interview applicants. Other Entry Considerations: We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet the standard entry requirements, as long as you can show that you have the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for the programme.
