OEM Engineering Technology - Traineeship

Education Application must have achieved Leaving or equivalent, QQI Level 4 Certificate or equivalent preferably to include Mathematics, Engineering or another technical subject. For mature students these requirements need not apply and applications may be considered based on a proven interest in Engineering. Entry is subject to an aptitude test and an interview. Aptitude Good numerical and communication skills, good problem solving skills, logical, practical individuals with good hand eye co-ordination. Previous Experiences In general previous experience is desirable but not essential. For mature students without minimum certification, previous experience and proven interest in Engineering is essential. Applicants must be over 16 years of age and have completed, Leaving Certificate or equivalent with five O6 grades or five passes pre 2017 (preferably to include Mathematics, Engineering or another technical subject). QQI Level 4 or GCSE at grade A*-C and grade 9-4, A' Levels and Vocational & Technical Qualifications may also be accepted. For mature students these requirements need not apply and applications may be considered based on a proven interest in Engineering. Applications are welcome from those in existing employment who are seeking to upskill or reskill into this industry. This funded course has no course fees and students may be eligible for a Additional Allowances or Employer bursary.
