- 1 semester, part-time, blended. This programme will be delivered via live on-line lectures one day a week (09.00hrs to 12.00hrs). Students will also be required to attend DkIT for some face to face workshops (09.00hrs to 16.00hrs).
Programme summary
The aim of the Certificate in Trauma Informed Care is to provide the learner with an opportunity to develop the knowledge and understanding of trauma required to competently integrate the theory and principles of trauma informed care into their practice.
Entry requirements
Participants must: Nurses/midwives, medical doctors and health and social care professionals (HSCPs) and registered with a recognised professional body appropriate to their field Currently employed in a professional practice setting in which the utilisation of the course material can contribute to quality care. Currently employed in a professional role with a scope of practice which is congruent with the utilisation of the course material within a practice context. All applicants will hold a relevant Level 8 qualification. Applicants who do not have a level 8 qualification may apply for entry to the programme in accordance with the procedures outlined in the DkIT Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.
