This preparatory course is geared for those who intend to go on to further training for the BSc Degree in Nurse Education either in Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales or abroad
Entry requirements
- Leaving Certificate with five subjects at grade O6/H7. Minimum of O6 in Ordinary Level Maths, Or a QQI Level 4 award with an overall distinction, including a Maths module.
- Leaving Certificate Biology is considered an advantage.
- Mature applicants do not have to meet the minimum entry requirements listed here and are considered on an individual basis (previous education, work experience, and demonstration of competence to undertake the programme).
- CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English.
- All applicants are required to attend interview during which further information will be gathered in relation to their application.
- An offer of a place on this course is contingent on the applicant meeting the entry requirements set out here and satisfactory completion of the processing stage. Note: This course requires students to be Garda vetted. Prospective students should also be aware that some aspects of this course are physically demanding and should satisfy themselves that they are physically fit enough to undertake it. Leaving Certificate with five subjects at grade O6/H7. Minimum of 06 in Ordinary Level Maths.
