Nursing Studies

This is a one academic year course with the overall aim of the programme being to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings and / or to progress to further or higher education and training.

Course Prerequisites · Leaving Cert/equivalent. · Leaving cert applied with distinctions. · Mature Students' experience and education considered. · All students are encouraged to have a full Hepatitis B vaccine prior to work experience. Please discuss this with your GP, as the first part of the vaccine may be due before commencing the course in September. · Garda Vetting · Students must source their own work placement · Students will be required to buy a uniform and fob watch as well as a name badge (not included in the fees).
