Programme summary

Emergency department nursing is a specialty where nurses need to be competent in caring for patients that present suddenly and acutely unwell. There is a need to develop additional clinical expertise among emergency nurses. This course aims to provide essential education and clinical skills required by nurses in line with best evidence based practice.

Entry requirements

Registered general nurses-NMBI Currently employed in a HSE or HSE funded Emergency Department for the duration of the programme. Also open to non-HSE staff working in an Emergency Department.
