Programme summary
The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the skills and understanding to install, configure and maintain computer systems. Learners will also learn about network and cloud systems.
Entry requirements
General College Entry Requirements You should be at least 16 years of age. Leaving Certificate / Leaving Certificate Applied standard Level 4 Major award Individual courses may have specific additional requirements. These will be outlined in the course descriptions for each course. Relevant work experience or training will be considered. This course is suitable for mature students An interview will be required for all candidates. The programme seeks motivated tech enthusiasts with an aptitude and positive attitude to work in the ICT sector. Some candidates may qualify for grants such as BTEI, VTOS or SUSI. All our classes are delivered in English. If English is not your first language you may be able to avail of supports in advance of starting a full-time course. We work in partnership with our colleagues in Adult Education Service who run an ESOL and preparation for college course(s) which you may be able to attend in advance of your full-time studies.
