Programme summary
The aim of the programme is to provide an introduction to sustainable building design and in particular approaches required to achieve Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards by addressing building fabric, air tightness and ventilation and integration of approach renewable energy systems.
Entry requirements
Mature applicants (i.e. aged 23 years on 1st January of year of entry for admission in September) Or Minimum requirements will normally be a pass in six Leaving Certificate subjects including Mathematics or an equivalent qualification. Equivalence may be demonstrated by an appropriate qualification and significant relevant experience. English Language: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses, a score of 5.5 in an IELTS or equivalent exam is required. For postgraduate courses, a score of 6.0 in an IELTS or equivalent exam is required. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their English proficiency meets these requirements. Please note that we do not request proof of English language qualification or proficiency.
