Middle Eastern, Jewish and Islamic Civilisations Judaism and Islam have been deeply influential in the development of European, Middle Eastern, North African and North American societies. Jewish and Islamic Civilisations is the study of their historical origins and cultures, providing students with an insight into the challenges of diversity and multiculturalism in an increasingly globalised world. Religion This course explores theories of religion, the monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the religions of Asia and Africa, movements such as New Atheism, New Religious Movements and the interaction between religion and politics, science, or art.
