Medical First Aid

This three-day programme covers subjects including: classroom theory in introduction and detail on various first-aid situations which might be encountered on-board. There are also practical exercises on wounds, bandaging, spinal injuries, patient assessment and administering medication. This course is mandatory for a learner to complete their Second-Hand Limited or Second-Hand Full Certificate of Competency. On successful completion of this programme, the learner will receive a STCW Medical First-Aid onboard Certificate issued by BIM on behalf of the Department of Transport. Cost: €225
