- 2 years, part-time. Course Delivery Year 1: Two/Three evenings per week, 6 pm – 10 pm Year 2: Two/Three evenings per week, 6 pm – 10 pm (Extra workshops and tutorials will be provided). This programme runs under a blended delivery mode . While much of the course delivery will take place online, students will be required to attend campus at least twice per module over a semester. Students will have to attend on-campus during semester for some continuous assessment components and also final examinations at the end of each semester.
Programme summary
This Degree is for persons who intend to make careers in professional management. The qualification will enable them to contribute more fully to the growth of their organisations and will give them access to further educational opportunities i.e. Bachelor of Business (Honours).
Entry requirements
Year one entry: BMNGT_Y2 (Qualifying Year): A minimum of a two year Higher Certificate (Level 6) is required in a discipline other than business studies. Note: Students in Qualifying Year must account for 60 credits, either by RPL and/or course work. The module selection for each student will be carried out in conjunction with the course coordinator. On successful completion of the Qualifying Year, students can progress to a Bachelor of Business in Management. Year two entry: BMNGT_Y3 (Award Year): Higher Certificate in Business, with minimum of Pass result or successful completion of the Qualifying Year of the Bachelor of Business in Management (Level 7). What is RPL? Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is when formal recognition is given for what you already know prior to starting on a programme or module. With recognition of prior learning the focus is on learning and not on experience as such. You can apply for RPL in any MTU accredited programme or module. Programmes which are accredited by professional bodies or any external awarding bodies may have their own procedures for RPL which you should refer to.
