This programme is designed to build on the knowledge that students have obtained in the IPA’s Certificate in Local Government Studies, providing a more in-depth and analytical treatment of the main local authority services in Ireland.

Entry requirements

You must have completed the Certificate in Local Government Studies to enter this programme. Applicants over 21 years of age on the calendar year of entry can apply for any undergraduate programme. Those under 21 must have a Leaving Certificate with certain grades achieved (further details available from undergrad@ipa.ie). Module Exemptions Students with recognized and specifically relevant prior qualifications may apply for an exemption for a particular module or from an entire stage.
