Programme summary
Information & Communication Studies is aimed at students who may wish to develop a career or pursue further studies in social media, communications, information studies, critical and creative media, and other related areas. The course is designed to promote and deepen understanding and appreciation of the roles that information, communication, and digitisation play in all areas of life and society, including economy and culture.
Entry requirements
To meet minimum entry requirements (matriculation) on the results of the Leaving Certificate, a student must present at least six recognised subjects selected according to course requirements and must obtain at least Grade H5 in two subjects and Grade O6/H7 in the remaining four subjects. Leaving Cert Subject Entry Requirements O6/H7 in English, Irish, a third language and three other recognised subjects
