Irish & Global Conflict History

This programme is suitable for anyone interested in exploring Irish and international conflict during the twentieth century—the most violent in recorded history. A key objective of this programme is to foster an appreciation of how nations have been affected by war in different ways. Part of the course will also be devoted to the study of conflict resolution, examining the history of diplomacy, and negotiation between states.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in which history is a constituent subject. Other Entry Considerations: We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet the standard entry requirements, as long as you can show that you have the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for the programme.
