Programme summary
The aims of this module are to: • Develop the students’ knowledge and understanding of the different styles of architecture prevalent in Ireland in both a rural and urban context. • Develop awareness in students of the processes involved in identifying the vintage of a building through analysis of its fabric and history. • Introduce students to the evolution of vernacular building traditions. • Make students aware of the political and social influences that helped shape our architectural heritage.
Entry requirements
All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
