- 18 months, full-time, blended. Recommended Study Hours per week Lectures and tutorials will be delivered live online and will also be recorded. On-Campus Attendance Requirement Semester 2 & 3: The Research Project in Medical Technologies will be undertaken at ATU Galway. The Pre-clinical and Evaluation and Assessment module requires on-site attendance for 3 on-site practical’s in ATU Galway. Semester 3: Students will be required to attend 3 network evening events with key opinion leaders delivered on the CEO Masterclass module. Note: Check programme Examination and Assessment requirements, as they may involve examinations to be taken on campus.
Programme summary
The MSc in International Medical Technologies, Innovation and Development programme develops the necessary skills required to strategically support the innovation journey of medical technologies for access into target international markets.
Entry requirements
A H2.2 Bachelor degree at Level 8 in any cognate discipline or equivalent in science, technology or engineering, is the minimum entry requirement for this programme. The research project will be work-based and year-long. Those employed in the Medtech sector can undertake projects with their employer, however the design of the project should be produced by the learner with the advice of the supervisors and must be of relevance to the programme. Students enrolled onto the programme who are not employed in the MedTech/Life Sciences sector will be required to complete a year-long applied research project with a relevant industry or academic partner. A personal motivational statement, which should include an outline of their plans and interests related to Medical Technologies English Language Requirements English Language Requirements will be as determined by ATU and as published in the Access, Transfer and Progression code.
