Instructing Manual Handling

This course is a nationally recognised qualification that equips learners with the knowledge, instructional skills, and practical expertise required to plan, deliver, and assess manual handling training in any workplace setting.

To enrol in this course, learners must meet the standards of knowledge, skills, and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. A minimum of Level 5 certificate standard of education and a valid Manual Handling Certificate is required. Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as computer literacy skills, are essential. Students undertaking Level 6 courses are expected to demonstrate proficiency in reading, drafting, preparing, and comprehending information across various topics. Basic IT skills and access to necessary equipment such as a computer, broadband, email, Microsoft Office, and recording equipment are required for skills demonstration tasks. Additionally, learners must be capable of self-directed study as this course is delivered through blended learning.
