Programme summary
This compulsory blended learning module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to prevent and/or manage outbreaks of infection and to recognize their role in the prevention of infection in a health care setting.
Entry requirements
Students must currently be in a hospital/ nursing home/ care setting to complete this module where a skills demo is worth 40% of the assessment. Simulated skills demonstration may be provided in the college for learners not on work placement.
