Programme summary

The Software Testing Associate Apprenticeship is a two-year ‘earn and learn’ programme developed in collaboration with industry to meet the growing demand for skilled software testing professionals across sectors including finance, healthcare, manufacturing and digital services. The programme is coordinated by the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and leads to the award of a Level 6 qualification.

Entry requirements

Applicants for the programme must be employed on an Apprenticeship contract of employment. Applications to register an apprentice can only be submitted by a Registered Employer. Applicants must meet the entry requirements as follow: Leaving Certificate (or equivalent), Grade O6/H7 or better in five subjects with a minimum of 250 points. This criterion does not apply to over 23’s but all applicants will follow company and SOLAS recruitment procedures and must demonstrate their ability and competence to undertake the programme.)
