Hospitality & Tourism Management - Waterford

The Bachelor of Business (BBus) in Hospitality and Tourism Management (Level 7) is a part-time 3.5-year, work-integrated, hybrid delivery degree programme designed to integrate structured higher education with sustained paid employment in the hospitality and tourism sector.

The minimum entry requirements for the programme are Leaving Certificate with at least 5 Subjects 06/H7, or greater, of which one must be Irish or English at a minimum of O6/H7, or equivalent. Applicants who do not immediately meet the entry requirements on the basis of certified learning, but who have equivalent experiential learning or a combination of experiential and certified learning, may be considered for entry under the SETU Recognition of Prior Learning Policy. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the SETU English language requirements for undergraduate study. In addition, applicants should have a minimum of one-year work experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. It is a requirement that students be in paid employment in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, ideally full-time employment, for the duration of the programme. Applicants must demonstrate the support from their workplace in facilitating them in undertaking the programme. The workplace will be required to allocate a staff member, ideally the applicant/student’s line manager or another member of management, to support the student during the programme.
