Programme summary
This programme provides students with the essential foundational knowledge, skills and experience needed to work within the healthcare sectors to include a range of settings such as hospitals, residential units, nursing homes and community based facilities.
Entry requirements
Leaving Certificate or QQI Level 4, or equivalent standard of education. LOETB Abbeyleix welcomes applications from mature students. Applicants are assessed on relevant life and work experience. All applicants must attend an interview. Where English is not an applicants first language, an online assessment may be required. GARDA VETTING At the start of the course students are requested to complete the Garda Vetting process. Receiving clearance is a mandatory requirement for work placement.
