Hairdressing - Introduction

This City & Guilds Level 1 award is designed to build on your interest and passion for the hair and beauty industry. It enables the learner develop personal qualities and strengths to make informed choices to pursue a range of employment opportunities or to progress to further education or training in the hair and beauty sector.

Entry Requirements

• Learner Age - For City and Guilds there are no age limits attached to candidates undertaking the 3001-90 unless this is a legal requirement of the process or the environment. However, 16 is the minimum age for participation on this programme.
• Aptitude - There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking these qualifications. However, centres must ensure that candidates have the potential and opportunity to gain the qualification successfully.
