Applicants must have a Second Class Honours Grade 1 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) in Arts and Humanities. Applicants with a Second Class Honours Grade 2 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8), in Arts and Humanities, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants with a primary degree other than Second Class Honours who demonstrate a high level of significant and relevant experience, may also apply under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Admission of such applicants will be subject to the approval of the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences. As part of the application process, all applicants must submit a motivation statement (500 words) detailing their interest in the programme, their particular research interests and methodologies to date, and their future professional goals. All applicants may be subject to an interview as part of the selection process. Garda Vetting: All students on this programme will require Garda Vetting. Garda Vetting is compulsory for participation in the core Gallery Internship module and other practice-based workshops. For Applicants with Qualifications Completed Outside of Ireland Applicants must meet the required entry academic grade, equivalent to Irish requirements.
