General Learning

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge, skill, and competence to use a range of information and communication technologies, under direction and with limited autonomy, in familiar situations. It enables the learner to pursue a range of employment opportunities or to progress to further education or training.

To access programmes leading to this award the learner should have reached the standards of knowledge, skill and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. This may have been achieved through a formal qualification or through relevant life and work experience. A pre-test may be required by our centre to ensure the level is suitable for a learner.
