- 1 year, part-time, online. This is an online course which will be timetabled on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9pm. Lectures will be delivered through a combination of live online and recorded lectures. Due to the online learning delivery students should have access to a PC / Mac, a headset with a mic, and a broadband internet connection from home, so as to be able to fully participate in the course. Basic IT skills are essential.
Programme summary
This Level 6 programme is specifically targeted at general operatives with experience in the food industry, who may not have had any formal education in the food area, to develop their interpersonal, supervisory and academic skills.
Entry requirements
Applicants should have a minimum qualification at QQI Level 5 or Leaving Certificate qualification. Applicants who do not have a Level 5 qualification will be considered on prior relevant experience and may be interviewed. Applicants will be expected to have access to a PC/Mac, a headset with a mic, and a broadband internet connection so as to be able to participate in the programme in the manner expected of them. Applicants for whom English is not their first language must have English level of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
