Programme summary
The Accounting Technologist Apprenticeship programme is a Level 8 honours degree, entry to which is after completion of the Level 6 Accounting Technician programme, offered by Accounting Technicians Ireland.
Entry requirements
Applicants for the programme must be employed on an Apprenticeship contract of employment. Applications to register an apprentice can only be submitted by a Registered Employer. Details of current apprenticeship opportunities are advertised locally and nationally by many employers, and are often listed on the national apprenticeship jobs portal at: www.apprenticeship.ie/career-seekers/jobs Your local Education and Training Board may hold details of employers seeking to employ an apprentice, visit: https://apprenticeship.ie/more/your-local-provider Applicants must meet the entry requirements as follow: Any major qualification at Level 6 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ); or any qualification at Level 5 on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) or Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (FHEQ); or an equivalent qualification at these levels. Or An ATI NFQ level 6 Advanced Certificate in Accounting or the Level 5 Accounting Technician Diploma on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF); or an equivalent qualification at these levels. Or Part-qualified accountants (e.g. CAI, ACCA, CPA Ireland, CIMA) who have successfully completed CAI CAP 1 or corresponding equivalent. Or Successful completion of relevant modules at degree (L7/L8) level of a business, finance or accounting related programme, mapped, and agreed by via the TUS RPL process, and offered by a recognised HE Institution. TUS recognises prior learning (RPL) consistent with higher education institution policies. RPL-based applications are assessed in line with the TUS Recognition of Prior Learning policy
