Programme summary
The aim of the Level 4 Award in Environmental Sustainability Awareness is to develop learners awareness of the impacts of environmental change and the key sustainable practices that can be implemented at individual and community level.
Entry requirements
Available to Adults 18+ To access programmes leading to this award the learner should have reached the standards of knowledge, skill and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. This may have been achieved through a formal qualification or through relevant life and work experience. Education: Level 4 Special Purpose award in Environmental Sustainability Awareness 4S21809 The programme is positioned at Level 4 on the NFQ. Applicants seeking entry must have achieved a minimum of a NFQ Level 3 Major Award or its equivalent prior to entry to the programme, or have achieved the relevant skills, knowledge, and competence through work experience. Learners within this category are assessed prior to enrolment to ensure they meet the required skills to undertake the programme. Learners will not be expected to have prior knowledge of environmental sustainability on entry to the programme, but they will be expected to demonstrate an interest in the field.
