Programme summary
Drama exists on and off the stage. Theatre happens in our everyday life. It is the basis for story-telling and other forms of performance within the creative arts. The study of English is concerned with the history and practices of writing in English and encompasses literary works spanning English, Anglo-Irish, American and postcolonial cultures.
Entry requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements: Irish Leaving Certificate To be considered for admission to a degree course at the University applicants must: Present six subjects, three of which must be at grade 5 or above on higher Leaving Certificate papers. The six subjects above must include: A pass in English A pass in mathematics (or foundation level mathematics) A pass in a language other than English. Specific Subjects Required English Studies H4 in English Drama Studies This is a restricted entry course, applications must be submitted to CAO by 1 February. Applicants will be sent a questionnaire in March. On the basis of the completed questionnaire some applicants will be called to attend a workshop and interview (during late April/May) before final selections are made.
