1 year full-time or 2-3 years part-time, blended delivery. F/T or P/T Schedule Modules are delivered over one and two academic years for full and part-time students respectively. Lectures are arranged to accommodate part-time students particularly to ensure minimal time away from work. Previous timetables are available on request. Each semester has a total duration of 15 weeks, with twelve weeks of class contact time, one week of review activities and two weeks of formal examinations. Full and part-time students attend the same classes.

Programme summary

The course consists of 12 taught modules and a Research Project module, and focuses on sustainability, water engineering, numerical techniques, renewable and sustainable technologies and transport planning with options in advanced structural engineering.

Entry requirements

Minimum Entry Requirements? For acceptance onto the course an applicant must hold one of the following: 1. An honours degree, with a minimum attainment of second class honours grade 2, in Civil/Structural/Environmental Engineering or a closely-related discipline. The degree should be of four years duration and accredited by the relevant professional body. 2. Any qualification(s) deemed by TU Dublin as being equivalent to No. 1 above, when taken in conjunction with relevant work experience. Note: Due to the considerable competition for our postgraduate courses, satisfying the minimum entry requirement is not a guarantee of a place. Depending on the course of study applications will be assessed based on your academic grades and may also take into account your work/life experience. Applicants may also be required to attend for interview for specific courses.
