- 1 year, part-time, blended. The programme is delivered through a flexible blended learning model where lectures can be attended online while there are up to seven mandatory practical days. The lectures typically take place three evenings of the week and the details of the practical days can be found below: Semester 1 (before Christmas) will have two days on campus. Semester 2 (after Christmas) will have up to five days on campus. Assessment will be through continuous assessment (assignments, quizzes, reports, practicals, etc) and formal examinations which will take place on campus for Semester 1 in December/January and Semester 2 in May.

This one-year, part-time Level 6 Special Purpose Award is designed for those currently working in, or seeking to enter, the industrial sector who wish to gain a practical foundation in electrical and electronic systems.
Entry requirements
The programme open to applicants who have a QQI Level 5 qualification in an engineering discipline and who are currently in employment in the manufacturing or processing sector.
