Electronic Navigation Systems (Fishing)

The aim of this programme is to familiarise the learner with the electronic navigation equipment fitted on modern vessels. Learners will be introduced to the basic theoretical knowledge required to interpret data outputs from speed and distance instruments, depth recording instruments, satellite position fixing systems, electronic charting and shipboard RADAR. Students will practice the use of this equipment in simulation exercises. Cost: €200
