Electronic Chart Display & Information Systems

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with the resources and ability required to keep a safe navigational watch using electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS) to meet Regulation I/14, paragraph 1.5 of the STCW Convention, as well as sections 6.3 and 6.5 of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code. A generic 5 Day ECDIS operation course based on IMO Model course 1.27 that combines theoretical learning with hands on operation of ECDIS equipment and systems.
