1 year part-time, blended. Delivery The Certificate in Adult Literacy Studies is a part-time blended learning modular programme with a delivery model that facilitates the working or prospective practitioner. The programme is delivered over one year in a flexible part time mode. Modules are typically completed over four days comprising of two blocks (Friday and Saturday) with a break between each block. Programme summary

The Certificate in Adult Literacy Studies is a 30 credit NFQ Level 6 minor award aimed at current adult tutors, or those wishing to become tutors and explores theories and good practice in adult literacy, adult basic education and adult education.

Entry requirements

Applicants must Have on-going experience in adult literacy for the duration of the programme and must show a capacity for third-level study. Complete an application form and in some cases attend for interview in order to assess their suitability for the programme. Non-Standard Applicants/Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Applicants with significant professional experience in further education may apply for exemptions using the RPL Policy.
