Programme summary
The Higher Diploma in Economics is designed for students who wish to undertake further postgraduate study such as the taught Masters but whose undergraduate degree does not reach the required standard in economics.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with some mathematical and statistical content and/or should be confident in their ability to successfully complete the undergraduate Economics modules which make up this programme. Applicants should have a 2:1 level 8 degree in any discipline. Level 7 Degrees will be assessed on a case-by-case basis You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), as UCD recognises formal, informal, and/or experiential learning.
