Early Learning & Care - Stage 2 - Advanced

This programme is ideal for early childhood educators, caregivers, and childcare providers who wish to take on more advanced roles and responsibilities within early learning and care settings. It is also suitable for those aiming to enhance their professional practice and pursue leadership or supervisory positions.

To access programmes leading to this award the learner should have reached the standards of knowledge, skill and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. This may have been achieved through a formal qualification or through relevant life and work experience. In order for learners to complete the Early Leaning and Care Major Award at QQI Level 6, they must have successfully completed the Early Leaning and Care Major Award at QQI Level 5. Proficiency in written and spoken English, along with computer literacy skills, is crucial. Students enrolling in Level 5 courses are expected to exhibit proficiency in reading, drafting, preparing, and comprehending information on various topics. Basic IT skills and access to necessary equipment such as a computer, broadband, email, Microsoft Office, and recording equipment are necessary for skills demonstration tasks. Additionally, learners must be capable of self-directed study as this course is delivered through blended learning.
