Early Learning & Care - Stage 2

This is year 2 of the Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care (Level 6). Learners will be provided with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to supervise in a range of Early Years services for children aged 0-6 years. The learners will have acquired the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners and to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting. Successful learners can also progress into higher education to complete a QQI Level 7/8 BA in Early Years Care and Education. Students of this course have been successful in applying for advanced entry to the second year of some Higher Education Institutions.

Learners must have evidenced achievement of all Minimum Intended Programme Learning Outcomes for Stage 1, or hold a full Level 5 Childcare Award. All applicants may be subject to Garda Vetting.
