2 years part-time, blended delivery. Study Hours In years 1 and 2, live lectures are normally broadcast between 6.30pm and 8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. In year 3, lectures run live online during the day (duration varies). It is recommended that students should try to allow for 5-10 hours per week per 10 credit module to their studies. On-Campus Attendance On campus attendance is not mandatory but students may attend in person, or online, for seminars in year one and two which run one or two days per semester. In year three, online seminars days run 2-4 days per semester.

Course summary

Disability studies allow us to understand disability in a different way; as a positive social and political identity, rather than a health issue or something to be ‘fixed’ or arouse sympathy. The study of ‘disability’ is inextricably linked to the concept of equality.
