The Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate in Dementia Awareness & Care, at Level 5 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals and society. This Dementia Awareness course equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to develop effective, person-centred care strategies for individuals with dementia.

Entry requirements

Students must have a qualification in the Major Award in either one of the below: - Healthcare Support 5M4339 - Nursing Studies 5M4349 - Community Care 5M2786 As well as having worked as a Healthcare Assistant for a minimum 2 years.
