This course is designed for the learner to explore software development concepts and subject areas that may interest them in future programmes or employment.

Entry requirements

  • Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent. Applications are welcome from mature students. Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate Mathematics together with analytical/problem solving skills is desirable. All entry is subject to interview.
  • Applicants will be asked for one written reference, copy EU Passport or GNIB card or Irish Residence Permit or Labour Market Permission letter
  • For applicants whose first language is not English, evidence of English language proficiency may be required. If appropriate, Whitehall College of Further Education will conduct an English language assessment.
