Our QQI Accredited Bachelor of Computer Science (BSc) Level 7 Degree course offers an in-depth understanding of computer-based information systems, covering all key areas of computing. You will develop broad knowledge in software engineering, operating systems, mathematical techniques, computer networks, cybersecurity, programming languages, coding, and computational problem-solving.

Entry requirements

International Applicants who are applying directly to the college must submit equivalent qualifications meeting the basic matriculation requirements below that are certified by NARIC Ireland. Link here. Basic Matriculation Requirements: All applicants must meet the basic matriculation requirements of a minimum of 5, O6/H7 grades, including a Language and and a minimum of O6/H7 in Mathematics. FET Applicants must hold a QQI level 5 Major Award in Information Technology. English Language Entry Requirements (For candidates whose first language is not English): IELTS 6.0/ B2+ CEFR or equivalent. PTE Academic computer-based English language test. PTE Test 59 points is equivalent to IELTS 6.0. TOEIC - 700-720 points is equivalent to an IELTS 6.0. Candidates whose first language is not English may be required to sit the Dorset College English Competency Test.
