Programme summary
The Higher Diploma in Science (Computer Science) MHG58 is a postgraduate course intended for graduates whose level 8 primary degree included 3-years' study of Computing. On completion of the course participants would be expected to reach a level of competence equivalent to that of a four year BSc graduate in computer science.
Entry requirements
Applicants must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) (or equivalent) with a minimum of a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in a Computing discipline or a degree with Computing as a minor subject. Applicants with less computing than required are recommended to apply for the Higher Diploma in Software Development MHG70. Applicants who do not hold a primary degree but have at least 3 years of relevant experience may apply via Maynooth University's RPL process for Non-Standard Entrants.
