Who is this course for? For graduates (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Materials, Nanotechnology, etc.) who wish to increase their skills with an understanding of applied physics and knowledge of the physical principles underlying material properties, and the operation of processes and equipment, both for the research and high technology sectors.
Entry requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant branch of science or engineering. (e.g. Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Environmental, Food or Materials Science, Mechanical, Environmental or Food Engineering). Other Entry Considerations: We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet the standard entry requirements, as long as you can show that you have the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for the programme.
