- 8 months. The course runs one weekend (Tuesday 19:00 - 21:00 and full day Sunday, 09:30 - 12:00) per month. Provisional Course dates: The course runs over 8 Modules between Jan and June 2024, Tuesday night from 7.15 – 9pm, and Sunday from 9.30 – 5.15. Please note that dates are still provisional. Tuesday 14th January 2025: Orientation Module 1: Tuesday 28th January & Sunday 2nd February 2025 Module 2: Tuesday 25th Feb & Sunday 2nd March 2025 Module 3: Tuesday 18th & Sunday 23rd March 2025 Module 4: Tuesday 8th & Sunday 13th April 2025 Module 5: Tuesday 13th & Sunday 18th May 2025 Module 6: Tuesday 27th May & Sunday 1st June 2025 Module 7: Tuesday 10th & Sunday 15th June 2025 Module 8: Sunday 29th June 2025 Lectures take place online on the Tuesday before the associated experiential sessions on the Sunday.
Programme summary
The aim of the validated course is to develop an understanding of the main principles of Art Therapy and enhance personal and professional development through an experiential, creative process.
Entry requirements
Entry Criteria: It is recommended that applicants have a level 7 award, or prior experience in community education, art, health or social sector work (including counselling and/or psychotherapy). Those with no formal qualifications or art experience will also be considered.
