Animation - Letterkenny

This programme is designed to provide students interested in Art & Design with an opportunity to study various subject areas before choosing a specialised field to pursue the career of their dreams. Students study common modules and have the flexibility to amend their area of specialisation after their first semester of study, subject to space availability.

Entry Requirements Applicants wishing to transfer onto this programme will typically have successfully completed Semester 1 in Year 1 of the AU234 Design (Common Entry) programme or hold a Level 6 Higher Certificate in a related programme. Standard applicants will present a qualification at an appropriate level on the National Framework of Qualifications. Non-standard applicants must present equivalent Higher Education awards, i.e., those with the necessary number of ECTS credits and/or appropriate learning outcomes. No portfolio or alternative assessment is required to enter this course. Advanced Entry Applications are welcome for entry to stage 2 of a programme at ATU, following completion of a cognate QQI FET Level 6 Major award. Transfers into years two, three or four are also welcome from those who have completed learning in a cognate area in another Higher-Level Institute (HEI).
