- 3 semesters, part-time, blended. The course will be delivered via live online lectures two evenings per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 5.30pm-9.00pm) and recorded lectures (online contact) on one evening per week (Wednesdays 5.30pm-9.00pm). In addition, students will attend DkIT or Ballyhaise for Saturday workshops, from 10.00am to 4.00pm (one to two Saturdays in each semester). (Please note this is subject to change). Due to the blended learning delivery within this course students should have access to a PC / Mac, a headset with a mic, and a broadband internet connection from home, so as to be able to fully participate in the course. Programme summary
This 60-credit, 3-semester part-time, predominately online programme has been developed in collaboration with Teagasc Ballyhaise Agricultural College, is ideally suited to holders of level 7 qualifications in Agriculture and related areas who wish to progress to a level 8 qualification.
Entry requirements
The minimum entry requirement for the level 8 major award is a level 7 major award in agriculture/ animal science/ crop science or a related area. Graduates of other disciplines will be assessed for entry through the Recognition of Prior Learning process on an individual case-by-case basis. Candidates may be interviewed.
